Caring About the Environment
At Home Again Studios, our mission is to help you fall in love with the space around you. We mix our passion for crafting new things and the love we have for our home to create décor products that match every household.
And we do it all with the environment in mind.
Everything we create—from our soy wax candles to our packaging—uses high-quality and environmentally friendly products. Whether you have fifty rooms to decorate or just one, taking care of our planet is important to helping you fall in love with where you live.
Natural Soy Wax
We craft all our candles with 100% pure, plant-based soy. Made from 100% hydrogenated soybean oil, we use soy for a few reasons. First, it’s all-natural with no toxins, carcinogens or pollutants. Next, it burns cleaner and lasts longer. Since it’s natural, soy wax doesn’t produce the soot paraffin candles are known for. It’s 100% biodegradable, too, and has a lower burning point so there’s less risk of burn should any wax get spilled.
Our sustainably sourced soy is also a renewable resource, making it even better for the environment than its paraffin competitors.
Seed Paper
We print our logo for our concrete pots (with or without candles) on seed paper. Made with post-consumer materials, plantable seed paper is a biodegradable eco-paper that can be planted to grow flowers. Once planted, the seeds grow and the paper composts away. So next time you order one of our candles, burn it down, add dirt, plant our logo and watch your wildflowers bloom.
Biodegradable Packing Peanuts
Before you shudder at the term “packing peanuts” hear us out. Our FDA compliant peanuts decompose in water leaving no toxic waste. While common packaging peanuts are made with Styrofoam and polystyrene (plastic #6), the ones we use are made with non-static organic starch. So rather than searching for a local recycling program that will accept your unwanted foam peanuts, you can spend your time decorating your home instead, when you receive our biodegradable ones.
At Home Again Studios, we love our where we live—the four walls we inhabit and the Earth we call home.
